From Auckland drive north on SH1, through Wellsford and the next small settlement Te Hana.Shortly after passing through Te Hana turn right onto the Twin Coast Discovery route [Tomarata Mangawhai Rd] to Mangawhai Village. Turn right at the T junction [gas station in front of you], then immediately left [Smashed Pipi café & gallery on the corner] into Molesworth Drive to Mangawhai Heads. Follow this road past Naja Garden Centre & café on your right and the golf course on your left until you reach the roundabout, turn left into Mangawhai Heads Rd to the ‘T’ intersection. Turn right into Cove Rd and follow Cove Rd through Langs Beach to the top of the hill. Zenford Lodge is on your right as you start descending.
OR stay on SH1 through Kaiwaka, over the Brenderwyn Hill and take the Waipu turnoff on your right. Go through Waipu Historic Village, past Artform Restaurant and the Pizza Barn [both on your right], through Waipu Cove, over the one-way bridge. Continue up the hill and as you approach the top of the hill, Zenford Lodge is on your right set back from the road in farmland with a bush back ground.                                                                                                                                              From Whangarei drive south on SH1and turn left at the first Waipu Historic Village turn off. At the village ['T' intersection] turn left to Waipu Cove, over the one way bridge. Continue up the hill and as you approach the top of the hill Zenford Lodge is on your right set back from the road in farmland with a bush bacckground.                                                            CAUTION - BLIND CORNER! If approaching from Waipu Cove, when turning into Zenford, drive as far as possible around the corner, then turn back across the road into our driveway.
